Rosie's Birthday Fun

Rosie couldn't wait until her birthday finally arrived. She was so excited to open presents and be FOUR!

I let her open her birthday cereal box before the rest, so she could have it for breakfast. (Fruit Lucky Charms, with a UNICORN on it!) She graciously gave each of her brothers a bowl too.

She LOVED the cake decorating toy.

And the Polly Pockets!

And she loved the new hammer that Daddy gave her. It has flowers on it. And you can take it apart and get 4 different screwdrivers out of it. She had fun with this for quite a while.

Couldn't get an in-focus photo of this activity...she was moving too fast! But she loved her new fairy and pegasus.

We had a voucher for an indoor play place so we were able to go here for free! The kids had a great time. We were basically the only family there, which turned out to be great because they all played together, which is just as Rosie prefers it.

This thing was fun...it slowly turns upside down, and you have to be really strong not to fall down.

The Saturday following Rosie's birthday, we got a babysitter for Eddie and Rex and Seth and I took her out to lunch and to go shopping for a birthday dress.  We went to The Olive Garden, where Rosie got macaroni and cheese (her favorite!).  Then we went to Costco, TJ Maxx, and Ross to find her perfect birthday dress. She wore it yesterday to church and was adorable. But that's mostly just the girl, haha.

Here's Seth carrying Rosie, walking from Costco, to TJ Maxx.  She looked so pretty and comfy in her Daddy's arms.

And here's the dress she chose. The glitter coming off of it got everywhere. But she looked so cute in it on Sunday.

Christmas Music!

I love December! So much beautiful music. And fun music too!

Here's Rosie singing the "A Million Dreams" reprise from the Greatest Showman at our co-op talent show.

And Eddie doing his two acts:

And here's Eddie learning his new song on the piano this morning:

And practicing solfege

I am going to get to perform with some other musicians in my ward for our program at church- here's our rehearsal:

December has so much music!! I had 4 rehearsals yesterday. But I love it. And I hope the kids grow up loving music too.

Various recent fun

We had FHE by fireside last week.

Eddie practiced igniting flint and steel, which he's really been wanting to learn how to do.

Serenity.

Rex wants to take Eddie's violin with him everywhere.

Rex loves his Angels hat.

And his "new" sweater that Daddy wore as a kid.

Loving the piano.

"New" Mickey Mouse slippers that were Daddy's.

Date night with Seth- we got veggie sushi.

A common scene: Seth tinkering in the garage; his new, rolling workbench featured prominently.

"Bi!"

Backyard "campout". Swimming suits and sleeping backs. So Miami.

The dogs enjoyed the campout too.

 "wee!"

Cinnamon.

Vader in the background, ready to pounce the instant Rex drops the ball.

Rex made a great throw!

Cinnamon caught the ball.

It's been chilly here, believe it or not! Probably the first time Cinnamon was cold in her life.

Proof my kids are nice to each other. And that "sibling play time" works! (This wasn't even during "sibling play time", which makes it even more awesome!)

Rex, climbing ladders of course.
