Lion Country Safari

We drove a couple hours north this weekend to go to a "cage-free" zoo, where you drive through in cars and the people are the ones in the "cages". :)

I didn't get a lot of great pictures because my hands were pretty full with Rex in my lap and then at the water park, but here's what I have:

Lions, just LYIN' around....(okay, this was the one animal that was in a cage)

Rex looooooved not being in his car seat. We only could go 5 miles an hour, and were often stopped, so we gave all the kids a reprieve from their seat belts.

After the drive through zoo, we went to the rides and water park.

This was Rex's first ride ever.

The water park and splash pads were a lot of fun!

The paddle boat was fun.

All in all it was a great family day!

September Fun!

The worst happened in the trailer this month....the air conditioner broke! One of them, anyway, but it was the main one that vents to the rest of the rooms. Luckily, we still had the small a/c from our room still working. But the kids room sure got hot by the afternoon.

So one morning I went up on the trailer before Rosie even got out of bed to look at the a/c, but soon a little girl climbed the ladder to come to see me! I was glad she was brave enough...she climbs her bunk ladder multiple times per day, so I guess she was used to it. But this was her first time on top of the trailer. I hope to teach the kids safety and confidence on heights- you never know...they might have to climb up and fix their RV air conditioner someday.

Eddie also came on the trailer, and took the opportunity to jump onto the house roof since it was like a foot away, which was fun for him.

The kids are still loving the pool, and made boats out of plastic totes.

Eating peaches!
