Eddie and my mom and I went to Costco without a list. The first rule of thumb for shopping is to have a list. So why did we do this? Because. Costco has deals on some stuff and other stuff is way overpriced. So if you just go there planning on being inspired, you'll only buy the stuff that's a good price, instead of feeling committed to getting everything on your list, which may be a better price at a normal grocery store.
One awesome thing we found was a set of four gingerbread men, already baked, complete with icing and decorative candy for $9. Score! Eddie had a great time doing eating his.
We also went to an awesome literacy/fun house here called the Treehouse Museum. Kids are $3 and adults are $1 on Mondays! We stayed for 2 1/2 hours and still didn't do half of the activities there because Eddie played with trains for about 2 of those hours.
The level of delicacy and concentration he had while playing trains was really neat. He would very carefully put each car on the track and connect it to the car in front of it. He was also very nice to the numerous other children who stole the cars he was playing with. ;)
He also played with the Little People School...
...Sat in a fire engine...
...put velcro shapes on the wall...
...made awesome music...
(^This is WAY too much fun!)
...and stood on a train!
(^ He would NOT hold still!)
All in all, this week was pretty awesome! Only two things could make it better. You know the first one, and the second one would be if we had a little cousin to share it with (calling Scarlett and William!)
Happy Thanksgiving!
